Maria used a different trick in her pattern to avoid switching hands. It is odd-length for A so would repeat on the other side, but here a 7 is used to indicate a self to the same hand: C’s 7-self on the last beat is thrown from the right hand and followed with a right-handed throw as B.

For shamrock, there are several ways to make it easier: full passes instead of zaps slow everything down. Likewise, 3 (or 5) selves slow the pattern and give more time to think. Jugglers who cannot do a self from their left hand may zip the club into their right hand before the 3rd pass arrives and then just start pass-pass-pass.

Maria used a different trick in her pattern to avoid switching hands. It is odd-length for A so would repeat on the other side, but here a 7 is used to indicate a self to the same hand: C’s 7-self on the last beat is thrown from the right hand and followed with a right-handed throw as B.

This is one of the newest patterns to Europe (from Canada via the USA). It was taught by Peter from Winconsin at the PassOut 2019 to 2020 in Königswiesen, Austria. We are still debating the notation (so that may change), as the manipulation is quite unusual.

For shamrock, there are several ways to make it easier: full passes instead of zaps slow everything down. Likewise, 3 (or 5) selves slow the pattern and give more time to think. Jugglers who cannot do a self from their left hand may zip the club into their right hand before the 3rd pass arrives and then just start pass-pass-pass.
