Have a very merry Christmas and see you at PassOut!
Dates of PassOut:
27.12.2018 – 03.01.2019
(Bettina asked them about the possibility to stay one or two days longer but unfortunately there is a group arriving at the 3rd).
Facilities at the “GRZ Krelingen”:
- 1 big gym ("Glaubenshalle") with a super high ceiling for 24-hour-use (2 minutes walking distance from the sleeping quarters at “Jugendhaus”)
- 54 beds in 3 houses (2-5 beds per room, 3 rooms with a private bath)
- 2 extra rooms for approx. 20 extra-mattresses
- 6 bathrooms (with toilets & showers) at the Houses, additional changing rooms in the gym
- 1 self-catering-area with fridge/sink/stove/coffeemaker/water-boiler for breakfast & 24 hours of snacks
- 3 extra rooms (one with a fireplace, another one with a bar - for games, chill out, theory-workshops, speeches 😉
- 1 dining-room (dinner cooked by the house-staff!)
- pingpong-table, table-football, billard-table
- beach-volley-club court in front of the house 😉
- WIFI at the Jugendhaus and at the gym!
- Projector for talks
- Flipchart for workshops
Sleeping:
There are 54 beds with pillows & duvets. The house will additionally provide 10 extra mattresses with pillows & duvets that we can put on the floor in the extra rooms on the first floor (OG) of houses 1 & 3. Bed linens and towels can be either brought from home or rented from Jugendhaus at 7€ per set.
For even more participants, we are allowed to bring our own (camping) mattresses and sleeping bags. Sleeping in a tent outside is also possible (though probably a wee bit cold …)
We agreed that 80 attendees should be the limit, not only because of sleeping quarters but also because of the dining-room and catering.
Food:
We will ourselves provide breakfast and snacks in the self-catering area. A stove, fridge, dishes and cutlery are provided there. In this way, we can have "juggler style" and "juggler time" breakfast. We can also go for snacks whenever we like.
A warm dinner is prepared for us by the house-staff. Food allergies or restrictions (like lactose- or gluten-intolerance etc.) will be considered by the staff.
So, food arrangements are very similar to the PassOuts at Königswiesen.
Prices (including food):
- Juggler (12-∞ years old): 39 € per person per night
- Young juggler (3-11 years old): 30 € per person per night
- Juggler yet to be (less than 3 years old): free
The price may still vary in case we estimated too high/low for the heating and the breakfast/snack shopping.
Bed linens and towels can be either brought from home or rented from Jugendhaus at 7€ per set.
If we want a party for New Year´s Eve we'll have to collect some extra money for that - it worked out fine that way the last years.
At the business-meeting in Königswiesen, we decided to use a maximum of 1000 € out of the previous Passouts´profits to support people who cannot afford these quite high prices. We also agreed on a maximum support of 100 € per person for a full stay. Support is given depending on self-assessment - so everyone can ask for up to 100€ of support. In case that more than ten people ask for the maximum reduction we’ll have to discuss how to handle this.
Travel:
Krelingen is located in Northern Germany, in between Hanover and Hamburg.
- The closest train-stations are “Walsrode” or “Hodenhagen” (9 km from Krelingen) from there some buses run to Krelingen but we surely can organize a shuttle service.
- The nearest airports are Hannover, Bremen or Hamburg; Frankfurt is also possible. From Hannover Airport it takes 1 hour by train to Hodenhagen or Walsrode (50 km), from Hamburg 2:15 h (110 km), from Bremen 2:45 h (hmm … 65 km only ), from Frankfurt between 4 and 4:30 h by train.
